Brazilian Dyed Base Cut Geode

These pieces are created by splitting a geode in half, polishing the face and then cutting a piece from the base to allow the geode to be displayed free standing.  The pieces weigh at least the minimum weight quoted in each variation, they are natural pieces so vary in size, shape, and weight however an average sized piece chosen at random measured 70 x 65mm across the polished face.  The photo is an example of some of the stock we hold, the product is natural however they are dyed to highlight the beauty of the geode making them a truly individual purchase. They are ideal for use in either, Alternative healing, Meditation or just as a unique ornament. 

Geodes (Greek γεώδης - geōdēs, "earthlike") are geological rock formations which occur in sedimentary and certain volcanic rocks. Geodes are essentially rock cavities or vugs with internal crystal formations or concentric banding. The exterior of the most common geodes is generally limestone or a related rock, while the interior contains quartz crystals and/or chalcedony deposits.
